Samsung Google Chrome OS Netbook Leaked

Finally! After what seems like a very long time of little press or word from Google as to when Chrome OS netbooks would start hitting the shelves, Engadget discovered, interestingly enough, a bug report for the Samsung version on the Chromium Google Group.

The bug report lists components and implementations like a 1.5GHz dual-core Atom N550, SanDisk SSD P4 (size TBA), and 2GB RAM, a Qualcomm Gobi 2000 3G card, Bluetooth, WiFi, webcam, and a Synaptics touchpad. (Code)Named "Alex", this Samsung notebook will most likely launch in the next couple months. Then again, Google I/O is in two weeks, so who would be that surprised if the official announcement came then?

Acer launches the worlds first 27-inch, 120hz, NVIDIA 3D Vision-compatible monitor

Acer have hit the market first with a 27-inch, Full-HD, 3D Display. Dubbed the Acer HN274H, Acer have specced it well, Full HD, 100, 000, 000:1 contrast ratio, LED-backlit, 120hz refresh rate and a 2ms response time is not too shabby at all. Yes it's not an IPS-based panel, but for the fast-motion, first-person shooter fans like myself, the 120hz gives you a semi. If that doesn't get the blood pumping, it is also (and obviously) capable of 3D with NVIDIA's 3D Vision technology.

Better yet, the Acer HN274H has the IR emitter built-in! Acer are even throwing in a pair of NVIDIA 3D glasses too. Acer have also added their eColor and Adaptive Contrast Management technologies which work dynamically to (apparently) deliver ultra-sharp and realistic visuals, here I was thinking that was the GPU doing that. The monitor looks great and I would definitely love to try one of these puppies out, Acer. Might be upgrade time for my Surround Vision Alienware setup!

Apple prepping Sandy Bridge-powered iMac and MacBook Air

For anyone in the market for a new iMac or MacBook Air, please wait. Apple are looking to release Sandy Bridge-powered iMac and MacBook Air's with Apple stopping the flow of stock to resellers this week.

On the MacBook Air side of things, it looks like the 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch models won't enter mass production until late May with a launch sometime in June. This wait is worth it, the Sandy Bridge-powered MacBook Pro's are bloody awesome.

White iPhone 4 Shipped To...Benelux? C'mon.

Everyone that's excited about a white iPhone 4 can finally have it! Everyone in Belgium, that is. A Belgian website, Webstore.be, put the following listing up on their site with a listing for "Apple Iphone 4 16GB Wit":

I know it's a novelty and all, but who really wants a white iPhone 4? You're just going to cover it with a case anyway- and if you don't your white iPhone 4 is soon going to "mottled smudgy charcoalish" iPhone 4.
No one has confirmed whether the "early shipment" is actually white iPhones and not just a bored Luxembourgian with Photoshop, but if you really want to find out go to the site and "Klik Hier".

Dual SIM Dual Core Motorola XT882 Smartphone Hands-On

Motorola XT882 has two of everything! This four inch smartphone has an NVIDIA Tegra 2 1GHz dual-core processor, access to UMTS and EVDO networks with its Dual SIM, I mean the powerhouse even has a dual LED flash!

The stand out feature besides the NVIDIA processor is the dual SIM card slots which are targeted at different networks so you'll be able to have one SIM running on the UMTS network and the EVDO network, basically GSM & CDMA. In addition to this feature that is taylored at the Chinese market, the other physical design change that's region specific is the ports are covered to streamline the phone. The other thing is that CDMA phones here have SIM cards, this was the first time I'd seen this ability live in a hand set.
This four inch smartphone is running Android 2.3 or Gingerbread on its HD display, no other detailed specs were given as Motorola is pushing the concept of the phone rather then the specs at the moment. No word on what day this smartphone will be hitting the streets or at what price point, but we imagine its going to be competitive for this market. artcal sourse:http://www.tweaktown.com/news/19502/dual_sim_dual_core_motorola_xt882_smartphone_hands_on/index.html

Samsung Galaxy S II, just 8.49mm thin

Samsung's Galaxy S II is out soon and commercials are coming out every second day it seems, this one caught my eye on just how thin it was. Samsung's upcoming Android-powered Galaxy S II is only 8.49mm-thin! Insane! Check out the below video for the goods:

If that wasn't exciting enough, I've included the other three commercials below for your viewing pleasure:
This final one has some awesome, totally realistic voice-over work. Samsung, please don't do this ever again!

Apple slap Samsung with a lawsuit, claim they've copied the iPhone and iPad

Apple is not happy with Samsung, they've filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Samsung (who have just sold their HDD operations to Seagate btw!) for the Galaxy-branded line of products. Apple is claiming that Samsung have infringed on their rights with the Galaxy S phones and Tab by violating various patents which were assigned to Apple by US PTO.

Apple also think that the Galaxy S phones and Galaxy Tab look like their iPhone and iPad, which is a violation called "trade dress". Apart from sounding like Apple are saying Samsung are cross-dressing, Apple are seriously pissed about this and are claiming that the Galaxy Tab took its design from the iPad with the same aspect ratio, rectangular shape, rounded corners (oh no!) and similar black border - referencing the similarities found in the iPad.

A representative from Apple said to Mobilized:

It's no coincidence that Samsung's latest products look a lot like the iPhone and iPad, from the shape of the hardware to the user interface and even the packaging.. This kind of blatant copying is wrong, and we need to protect Apple's intellectual property when companies steal our ideas.;;;;;;;;;;;;;artcal sourse:

Mionix Zibal 60 backlit mechanical gaming keyboard, includes "rage-proof durability"

Mionix have unveiled their first mechanical keyboard to the market today, the gaming-orientated "Zibal 60". The board sports some sexy looking Cherry MX Black switches, which have a linear (non-tactile) travel, require about 60 grams of force to actuate and are typically favored among FPS gamers.

The Zibal 60 has "rage-proof durability" which is thanks to its 1.6mm-thick steel frame - obviously this is added at the FPS market as it's full of rage at times (myself included). The Zibal 60 features green multi-level backlighting that can illuminate the entire board or just the cluster of WASD keys. The spec sheet lists support for up to six simultaneous key presses (6KRO) via USB. On the top right of the keyboard is an I/O hub with two full-speed USB2.0 ports and audio/mic jacks.

Haier 7G2 14-inch Sandybridge Notebook Hands-on

Haier 7G2 was on display at IDF Beijing 2011 showing off its Core i7 Sandybridge processor.

This 14-inch metallic beauty has metal wire drawing on the palm rest and an ATI HD 6730 which gives it a 3DMark06 score of 11,000. If you're wondering if you should be impressed, well, you should, the current industry average for an equivalent desktop replacement is around 9,000. The 7G2 comes in both Core i3 and i5 options with a 350 and 500GB hard drive options with 2GB/4GB RAM varieties.
My initial impressions of this notebook aren't great, the keyboard has a great deal of flex (I was kind in the above video since the booth staff beamed so proudly over his machine) and the track pad is small for a 14 inch device. The woes of the device don't end there, the mouse buttons offer poor feed back and there are a lack of USB ports as I was only able to count two on the entire system.

The 3DMark06 score got out attention, but the keyboard has us hesitant on wanting to even try to get our hands on for a review!

The Sora, Probably the most beautiful electric motorcycle

I think you probably have the same reaction I had when I discovered The Sora, a real shock, a real sight of the electric superbike.

It is above all qualifiers and reflects the achievements of Canadian Green Lito motion and 7 members of the project.
Everything is designed and optimized for maximum enjoyment with devastating lines, the Sora juggles styles: Superbike, streefighter and cork with its seat (electrically adjustable …) and even includes a GPS touch screen!

On the performance side, you have to hang on the handlebars as the beauty that uses a CVT transmission develops 960Nm of torque to the wheel (the crank 80Nm) and allows a top speed of 200kph, probably reached in just a few seconds. It is powered by a lithium polymer battery 12kWh for a claimed 300 km wide, has 8 hours of charging.
This electric sports-bike is not cheap and that makes it even more desirable …
Without going obsolete even before the first deliveries of the Empulse Brammo have an interesting contender in the high-end segment of the Superbike promising electrical …
The first public appearance of the Sora will be held during the F1 Grand Prix in Montreal (10 to June 12) for delivery in October 2011, price: 42399CAD (Canadian dollars) or € 30,388 at the rate of today.

The screen is powered by Quattron four color pixels, full LED backlighting, Netflix, CinemaNow, Vudu Apps and DLNA access just to name a few - but it does not include 3D.

This will be solved with new models of 70-inch LCDs from Sharp that are reported to ship this summer. Price wise it's actually not too bad with an MSRP of $3799.

Bicycle with charging system for Gadgets

I think the concept is brills-green. Meng Fandi designer already has a iF design award and good for the earlier work, so I would expect nothing less. The I-Green is a small peripheral motor converts kinetic energy into electricity to charge almost any portable device. I like to ride my bike with my phone to my progress, but the GPS sensor kills the battery. This seems like a great idea to keep your phone juiced. I’ll take one, but please, but perhaps in another color?
